10/28 Leaving Cape Town
Well, after four full days, we leave Cape Town. What a wonderful stay and education. Great tours and guides. South African has come a long way since the days of Mandela, but still faces with many challenges. Our route takes us to Cape Agulhas and Hermanus, closer to our Safari Game Areas. We are in the mist of the World Rugby Championship of which South Africa is in. Much like the Super Bowl of USA. Lots of hype. More history learning lots of corruption in Gov’t, here. Not unlike the USA. What a shame. Only 13% of people pay taxes, so a huge burden on those that do.
The scenery to our destination is incredible. Mountains, farmlands, Ocean Front, awesome. A lunch stop and then to the “Farthest” point of Africa Continent, Cape Agulhas. The Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.
Our lodging for the night is 5 Star, “The Marine”. Ocean front and beautiful.
Tomorrow on to Plettenberg Bay.
