11/14 – Farwell and Tours

Final post for the South African Adventure. Was Awesome and beyond words.

Our farewell dinner and thanks to many new friends. Many took a final tour before leaving. We choose the Pretoria and Diamond Tour. Turned out Shari and I were the only ones on this tour, so we got a very special one on one with our tour guide Brenda. She was great. Highlights were the Struggles of settling South Africa – “Battle of Blood River” museum. Then the Krueger House, recognized for his role in South Africa and the named Park “Krueger Nat’l Game Preserve. Finally was the Pretoria Mine, the highlight of our tour. The site of the $43 Million Dollar find.
