Hi All: Mar 12 – 14
Well, after some 28 hours of travel time, we arrived in Sydney and were greeted by our John Hall tour guide representative for transportation to our hotel. Arriving at 11:00am at the Intercontinental Hotel.
Very nice hotel and checked in with rooms ready. A relief after a very long travel day, actually losing a day crossing the International date line.
Group gathered for a 5:00pm cocktail, discussing our upcoming 23 day adventure.
Welcome and introductions took place at breakfast followed by an afternoon walk to the famous Opera House. Awesome history and construction, taking some 16 years to build, finished in 1973. Wonderful tour and narration. Amazing place.
Evening we had a beautiful sun set boat cruise with buffet dinner, full moon, and a wonderful boat tour of the Sydney Harbor. Spectacular view of the famous “Harbour Bridge” and city night lights.
Next day started with a City Sights Tour, history, China Town, famous Bondi Beach, and a very lovely waterfront dinner. Wonderful city, clean and efficient. 5.6 million Strong.
