October 7, 2024 – Kingston, NY

After sailing most all night we arrived in Kingston, Ny, 8:00am prox.  A very historic community just off the Hudson River, taking a creek into the town area.  Many different tour options, but we opted for “The Wooden Boat School Tour”.  A local craftsman shared the skill level with a very nice “show and tell”.   Lots of history through the wooden boat era.

After the demonstration, Trueloves and us went to the Maritime Museum for the Hudson River.  Again, more history then one can absorb, but all very interesting.

Following the museum, we hiked toward town to a coffee shop, “Half Moon”.  Noted specialty in coffees and donuts.  How could one go wrong.

Finally, an afternoon of relaxing free time.  Weather still great, mid 50’s early am, then to low 70’s by mid day.

Tomorrow we head to Sleepy Hollow, NY.
