October 8-9, 2024, Sleepy Hollow, Ny
A day on the river, enjoying the beautiful scenery and colors, we arrive in Alpine, Nj with tours planned for Sleepy Hollow, Ny, just across the river. A very historical area settled by the Dutch and most famous for the works of Washington Irving. Irving, most noted for short stories ie; “Rip Van Winkle”, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. More history than I can handle here. Some may recall “The Headless Horseman”, “Ichabod Crane”. And New England Witchcraft. All fun stuff and the community has made a great tourist attraction. Spent more time than needed in the cemetery.
Tomorrow we disembark back in New York City. We have tours planned for the city Oct 10, dinner out. More tour time on the 11th, then flight home Oct 12th. I’ll keep you posted.
