Mar 19, Great Ocean Road, Penguins, Melbourne Tour

Hi All: Mar 19- 22

Arrival at the Sofitel Hotel in Melbourn for a 4 nights stay. Our first day is a full one exploring the Great Ocean Road, Australia’s most spectacular coastal drives. Extends some 180 miles along some of the best scenery the country has to offer. Lots of historical sites and National Parks. Lunch at Apollo Bay, travels thru Otway Ranges National Park and Port Campbell. Famous Twelve Apostles Limestone stacks. A full day,

Next day we head to the famous Penguins Parade. However, not before spending a couple hours stop at the Victoria Market. A large outdoor market with everything you can imagine. Leaving the market we head to a historic steam driven train. “Puffing Billy” takes us through the mountainsides of Belgrave to Emerald. Then by motor coach to Phillip Island for the daily sunset parade of Penguins coming ashore after a day of feeding at sea. A sight to behold!!

Our final day in Melbourne is to the Eureka Skydeck 88, the highest building in Melbourne, yes 88 floors, world’s tallest residential building. Dinner as we depart.

Tomorrow a travel day as we leave Melbourne heading for Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.
