Hi All: Mar23 – 25
We fly from Melbourne to Cairns. Shangri – La Hotel for a three nights stay. Today a full day event on the Great Barrier Reef. All gear provided for snorkeling. Non snorkeler’s get the view in a glass bottom boat.
Most took part in the Snorkeling.
Then on to the Kuranda Rainforest aboard the Heritage Carriage Rail passing the massive Baron Falls. Upon arrival, we board an amphibious duck boat. A unique perspective of the rainforest.
Next we learn about Australia’s Indigenous oldest surviving culture. Dance, sing, boomerang throwing.
We leave Kuranda on another cable ride Skyrail over the canopy of the rainforest.
The day is ended with a visit to the Cairns Aquarium and dinner in the Oceanarium.
Tomorrow a travel day, flight to Auckland, New Zealand.
